Map description:Alcalá is located at the west coast of Tenerife. The town was the charm of an unspoilt fishing village. Here the people still live mainly from the sea. Every morning the fishermen take their boats out into the open Atlantic. Later they sell the fresh fish to the restaurants and bars in the area. In the small bars and taverns of Alcalá you can than eat excellent fresh fish. Here you get to know well the typical Canarian dishes. In the immediate vicinity of the village square of Alcalá you find natural beaches, which are used mainly by locals as a place of refreshment. The village square is a meeting place for young and old where people meet, talk with each other or just enjoy the calmness. Alcalá is a very good starting point for excursions around the island.
