You live here, away from crowds, noises and exhausts with plenty of space and tranquility. The town of Puerto de la Cruz is located in a comfortable range. A car is recommended but although, not necessary. Almost on its doorstep, there is a bus stop. Two grocery stores and a German butcher shop is located in the vicinity. The apartment is bright and very comfortably furnished. All rooms have a marble heating. Puerto de la Cruz ist mit über 30.000 Einwohnern die sechstgrößte Stadt von Teneriffa.Ursprünglich war die Stadt der Hafen im Norden mit untergeordneter Rolle.
Erst als 1706 Garachico durch einen Vulkanausbruch verschüttet wurde entwickelte sich Puerto de la Cruz zum wichtigsten Nordhafen der Insel.
Vor mehr als 100 Jahren waren englische Touristen die ersten, die die Stadt als Urlaubsziel ausgesucht haben. Nach 1950 dann wurde Puerto langsam zur Touristenhochburg und ist es bis heute geblieben. Strand und Meer sind reichlich in Puerto zu finden. Der feinsandige "Bollullo-Strand" mit Brandung in einer großen Felsenbucht ist am Wochenende auch bei den Einheimischen sehr beliebt.
Puerto de La Cruz ist wegen der angenehmen Lage und den vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten, eine Reise wert. Hier finden Sie eine Bodega neben der anderen. Angeboten werden herzhafte Snacks, Tapas, Eis und kühle Getränke. Auf der Plaza del Charco pulsiert das Leben, hier treffen sich die Einheimischen, die Urlauber genießen die Angebote der Restaurants und einige Straßenkünstler geben dem Ganzen noch mehr Farbe. In Puerto de La Cruz gibt es einige historische Gebäude mit besonderem Flair. Vor allem die schönen Patios (Innenhöfe) beeindrucken die Besucher. Hier finden Sie alles was Sie brauchen, Banken, Apotheken, Restaurants, Cafés, Geschäfte und Einkaufszentren. Puerto de La Cruz hat den Vorteil, dass man sich zurückziehen kann wen man möchte, aber trotzdem ein facettenreiches Unterhaltungsprogramm geboten bekommt.
